Enhancing the Visitor Experience
CastNET was deployed throughout the Cleveland Convention Center as well as the Global Center for Health Innovation, a four-story office complex connected to the Convention Center. The convention center is a LEED-certified facility with a 225,000 sq. ft. exhibition hall. The digital signage system included 90 directional signs, 38 meeting room signs, five video walls, and 43 informational signs next to elevators.
Brian Cook, Technology Manager at the convention Center, reports that the digital signage system has been a 100% success. It’s been easy to update and administer.
To comply with LEED certification, the convention center also installed 90 advanced RGB LED signs. These static informational signs can change their background lighting and can be modified for each event. CastNET was customized to include color management so that the system would control the background color of each sign.
To make the system even easier to use and prevent double data entry, CastNET also developed and integrated an interface for the Ungerboeck Event Management Software that the convention center used. As updated event data is entered into the event management software, it’s also automatically scheduled to be formatted and played on the CastNET system.
